Music has always played a pivotal role in Phil's life. Studies at The University of The Arts, The Boston Conservatory, and East Stroudsburg University have only strengthened his musical foundation. Phil has extensive conducting and music directing experience having directed ensembles at The University of the Arts, Northampton Community College, Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, Wilson Area High School, and Northampton Area High School.
For the last 11 years, Phil has taught voice to students of all ages and skill levels. Many of his vocal students have successfully auditioned for music programs at Desales, Muhlenberg, Moravian, Ithaca, Northwestern, The New England Conservatory, and the Manhattan School of Music. His students have also been a part of PMEA District, Region, and All-State Festivals. Several of his students have been nominated for Freddy Awards including Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role.
Phil is currently the Music Director at Trinity Episcopal Church in Easton and the Spring Musical Vocal Director at Wilson Area High School. He is a proud member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
He is also a Certified Personal Trainer, Parkour Coach, Life Coach, and Reiki Master. Phil integrates fitness, mindfulness, parkour concepts, and other modalities in his holistic approach to teaching music.
